Digital products
PDF patterns, garment bundles (with their courses) and membership are delivered online. They are available in your account immediately after payment, and there is no shipping fee.
Processing time
All physical products ship from our warehouse in Nanjing, China. Physical orders (printed paper patterns, material kits, sewing tools and sewing machines) are dispatched within 1–3 business days of payment. Orders placed on weekends or Chinese public holidays are processed the next business day. You will receive a tracking number by email when your order ships.
Shipping methods, times and fees
Every parcel travels as a cross-border shipment: it is exported through Chinese customs, flown or shipped to the destination, cleared through the destination’s customs, and then delivered by a local carrier. Estimated delivery times below are counted from dispatch and include both customs clearances:
- Taiwan (main island): cross-border express or sea express, cleared by a Taiwan customs broker and delivered by a local carrier, about 4–8 business days. Paper patterns and material kits NT$80; sewing machines NT$220.
- Taiwan (outlying islands): as above with onward delivery to the island, about 6–12 business days. Paper patterns and material kits NT$120; sewing machines NT$350.
- West Malaysia: cross-border air courier, delivered by a local carrier, about 5–10 business days. Paper patterns and material kits RM12; sewing machines RM35.
- East Malaysia (Sabah, Sarawak, Labuan): cross-border air courier, about 8–15 business days. Paper patterns and material kits RM20; sewing machines RM70.
- International: tracked international post or express courier, about 7–20 business days. Paper patterns and material kits US$15; sewing machines US$60.
One shipping fee applies per order; an order containing a sewing machine uses the sewing machine rate. The exact fee is shown at checkout before payment. We do not currently offer free shipping.
Customs, duties and taxes
Every order is imported by the recipient into the destination country. Import duties and taxes charged there are the recipient’s responsibility and are not included in our prices or shipping fees. The customs broker may contact the recipient by phone or text message, so please give a number you can be reached on.
- Taiwan: the recipient must have a verified (實名認證) EZ WAY account and tap “申報相符” (declaration matches) in the EZ WAY app when the parcel arrives. Parcels that are not confirmed cannot clear customs and are returned to the sender. Please order under the same name and mobile number as your EZ WAY account. Parcels with a dutiable value of NT$2,000 or less are generally free of duty and business tax, except from a recipient’s seventh duty-free import in the same half-year; above that, duty and tax are paid by the recipient.
- Malaysia: air parcels with a value of RM500 or less per shipment are generally free of import duty and sales tax; above that, duty and tax are paid by the recipient. Electrical appliances, including sewing machines, may be held by customs until approval from the Energy Commission (Suruhanjaya Tenaga) is shown.
- Other countries: duties, taxes and customs fees follow the rules of the destination country. Some countries, including the United States, no longer allow carriers to collect import duties on delivery; parcels on which duty has not been paid may be delayed or returned. Please contact us before ordering if you are unsure.
Delays
Delivery times are estimates, not guarantees. Shipments may be delayed by carrier disruptions, customs inspection, an unconfirmed customs declaration, weather, public holidays, or epidemic-related (including COVID-19) restrictions beyond our control. If your tracking has not updated for 10 business days, please contact us.
Address and lost parcels
Please check your shipping address carefully; we are not responsible for parcels sent to an incorrect address provided at checkout. If a parcel is confirmed lost by the carrier, we will reship it or refund you in full.
